Re: Question is should i turbo an LS- V-TEC (yuyo)
if you can then yes. i wouldnt build it though just build the ls/vtec properly use the golden eagle ls/vtec kit it comes with EVERYTHING you need to convert and a oil sandwich for your oil feed later if you do it. i used the golden eagle kit and can not put into words how bad *** it is and how happy i am with it's quality and performance. i had a stock ls/vtec for a while then i put a revhard kit on it with a precision sc44 and i love it the golden eagle sandwich plate made the turbo install much easier also having an existing oil feed just waiting, no rigging, no using brass tees no oil leaks.

if your gonna turbo it, and building it, spend the 900 bucks for headstuds, pistons and rods. well worth it in the long run

Most people go ls/vtec if they have an ls to begin with, since you already have a b16, just turbo it.. and be happy with 1.6 liters.

dont count your chickens before they hatch... 11 seconds is a pretty hard goal to achieve dude.. But, make sure you do "rebuild your cranks".... lol

There are hundreds of successful ls/vtec turbo setups on H-T alone, me included.
I'd stop listening to your friends.

Agreed. You can make 300whp no problem on a stock b16 and that should be plenty for 11's with traction.

If you're fat or have a heavy car, 1.8-2.0 liters would be better, but 1.6L boosted is fine for most people.

I'm running a turbo Ls/vtec built with Wiseco pistons, eagle rods and headstuds, no problems so far! It's been very reliable and pulls very hard. Plus people trip out when you say you have a Turbo Ls/Vtec
