Question on installation of ATI damper 7" race version
I have a 2001 Integra ITR and I am thinking about getting an ATI damper, the race version (7" steel). Because of the size of this thing, I was wondering if it can be installed like a stock damper (from under the wheel well) with the motor still in the car. Or does the motor have to be pulled to install this beast of a damper.
Anyone who have installed this same pulley please chime in with your experiences. Thanks

i have had no problems installing the ATI pulleys with the motor in the car. usually just loosen the engine mounts on that side of the motor so it can drop down a little bit

To be more specific, have you installed a 7" race version using this method?

its not going to make a difference I dont think. the procedure is still going to be the same.

Ok, so now you guys who are using the 7" race version with the underdriven alternator pulley, are your cars streetable? Meaning does the car charge well and the accessories work fine such as stereo, headlights etc. Or any issues?

Re: (Max500)
Just do the math. If you know the diameter of the stock pulley and the stock accessory pullies, find the circumfrence. Divide the stock pulley by the stock accessory pulley and you have a ratio.
Then do the stock pulley to the underdrive pulley. Plenty of people do that without problems. Then do the 7" pulley to the underdrive pulleys. If the ratio is between the first two numbers you found, you should be good to go.
