You can get rebuild kits from ebay for $60 and do it yourself pretty easily.

Then think anywhere between 100-200 for a standard bearing/seal replacement. If the housings or CHRA are damaged in another way obviously its gonna be more for the machine work.

Well the turbo is still on a car. They said that it smokes sometimes. What could that be? It still boosts fine tho. I

And another thing, if I was to rebuild it, should get the $134 kit from gpopshop or is the $60 kit from eBay good enough?

The $60 kits on ebay are all the same, good quality manufacturer.

My 18g just started smoking and it turns out the vband collar the exhaust side was loose so you should check that.

Any t25 flanged turbo should bolt up to the greddy manifold. I'm pretty much in the same ship as you, wanting to upgrade my 18g and have been looking at atp's site to decide which turbo I wanna get. Really leaning torwards the gt30r, but with the special housing which has a 44mm v-band external wastegate on it and eliminate the iwg totally. Only thing keeping me from ordering the turbo right now is whether or not I should build on the greddy manifold. For the total price on purchasing the turbo and all the components to make it run, I might be spending close to 2g's. For a little more, I can get a ramhorn setup from AFI so I'm debating really hard to see what I wanna do. Good luck bro!

Depends on your goal. I just slapped a GT28r onto my greddy manifold and everything was a direct bolt up other then the oil lines and having to run water lines.

So any T25 Turbine inlet turbo will bolt up. AKA GT28r, GT2860rs, GT2871 yadayada

My return line keeps leaking oil. It's made outta rubber. Any suggestions on what to do. I even tried using to clamps in the bottom. I believe it's leaking from the bottom of the line

The rebuild price is different from many different places. I had mine rebuilt, with a bigger compressor and turbine wheel and had the housings bored out. It felt like it gave the turbo a shot of steroids. Turbochargers.com did if for me, it was slightly expensive, but I've had no problems with it.

The block girdle is what makes the difference.

The pans are the same bolt wise, just ones like the GSR are deeper and have a longer pickup.
