question about full-race turbo kits and wastegate dumptubes
first, do full-race turbo kits come with a wastegate dumptube? from the pics on their website (linked below), it doesnt look like it.
second, is it safe to run a wastegate with no dumptube? like in the other pics, there is no wastegate dump and it is pointing straight at the radiator. is this a good idea. i know that it would blacken the engine bay, but would it cause any problems with the radiator? i know the radiator is supposed to take some heat since it is a heat exchanger, but would the exhaust heat be too much for it to handle? any thoughts? lemme know, thanks.

Here's what I did,
I moved the radiator a litlle bit back about 3/4" and make a dumptube for the WG.
As long as the WG dump is not pointing the radiator straight up, you're fine.

Re: question about full-race turbo kits and wastegate dumptubes (ID_ten_T)
I just installed a full-race kit on my car a week ago, it does not come with a dumptube. i have been running with open wastegate. It will not damage your radiator or anything else, its not bad for your car. Just a little black smoke that you can wipe off. Full-Race does recomend to run a dumpube.
I love my Full-Race turbo kit.

Hello and thank you for your interest in our products. Our Kit does not include the Dumptube, however it is sold separately. Also for your second question, It is safe to run a wastegate without a dumptube.
If you have any other questions at all, Please feel free to contact me at anytime.
thx
Henry

Would we notice a change in noise by not using a dump tube? If so, how much change in noise would it be? Thanks.

my kit didnt come with one, but people who dynoed without one then with one gained a decent amount of horsepower because the hot exhaust gas isnt goin into the turbo inlet

Without a dumptube, your engine is going to be recycling all of the used exhaust gases that your wastegate expells. Get one.. the end.
