Question about FMUs
I right now have the Hondata S200 w/ boost option that I have never used yet. I am getting low on cash so I just wanted to ask this question. If I were to sell it and get a Vortech FMU and the rest of the stuff that I need ( just a BOV) would that be all that I needed to get fuel management wise? Like can I just get the Vortech FMU and that is all that I need to buy for the FM department? Also what would I need ( I am only going to be running 7-10 psi) the 12:1 or 10:1 disc? Thanks for any information, I used the search option and couldn't find any information.

Yes, what's this missing link everyone's talking about?
I've got the Vortech FMU, and a Walbro 255HP.
Running 8.7PSI, but thinking of going 10.2PSI soon. Want to know my options too.
Thanks

If you decide that you want to go with the Vortech FMU let me know. I have a brand new one for sale $100 shipped. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=889615

Re: Question about FMUs (Muckman)
If your low on cash don't bother boosting your car. Espically if your piecing together a kit. I did once before, and I'm doing it again now, and every little nut, bolt, clamp and fitting adds up to alot more than you first expected. If you already have the hondata, I think you should just hold off until you have enough cash to buy the other parts without selling the hondata. I'm not saying that your gonna blow your engine, but the chances of blowing it with an fmu are higher than with hondata, and trust me, rebuilding an engine is not cheap.

You dont need a missing link if you dont pass 10-11 PSI of boost but for peace of mind get it..its just like 40 bucks.

Its a part that goes between your STock Map sensor and the throttle body..It fools the ECU so that it doesnt read boost and turn your CEL on...Without the Missing link you can run like 10-11PSIs but after that your ecu will throw a CEL..The Missing link prevents that.

The FMU need the pressure the inline pump provides, if you keep it under 6psi or so the Walbro intank should be enough.
I'll trade ya my fmu setup for your Hondata
