If it's the same shop that's in Houston TX then I would not deal with them. I order some Tein Flex from him and after he got the money he never sent my stuff. I called him a lot with no answer. When he did answer he would just say I'm sending it out today, but he didn't. I had to get my money back from PAYPAL cause he wouldn't pay up. Just watch out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To my knowlege there is no longer a PYR here in Houston. I believe that Peter is working for a bike shop now. Not sure if he still has the doors to PYR open or not.

I agree, becuase of how much material they took out of the valve guides they ended up cracking and i dropped a valve...

But I want to figure out wtf kinda keepers they used cause they arent stock and i want to know if they are ferrea\manley\suprtech they were used on ferrea valves.

here is the keeper compared to stock (shinier one is the ??? keeper):

#1 Mystery Left | Stock Right

#2 Stock Left | Mystery Right

#3 Stock Left | Mystery Right

Hey,
For what it is worth Peter only used OEM keepers. Doubtful yours is any different as thats all they kept at the shop. Can you post a pic of the broken guide? How long was the head on?

all pyr did from day one is rip customers off what you should do is send your head to someone like portflow to have them check it out and fix it so you know it will be done right and they should be able to tell you why he used in your head

Hey great info thanks alot, any thoughts on why these 2 look different?

Ill get a pick of that cracked guide, damn camera battery is chargin. I only ran the head for about 3 months on 9psi before it **** on me.

pics soon, appreciate any insight into the diff between these 2 keepers, I know the "stock" one is from a b16(? code is PR3) so maybe b16/GSR keepers are different?

Thats interesting, I never had any issues with anything they did for me. I called and got immediate answers, and service. Sorry others didn't have the same experience.

Anyways, GSR/B16 keepers are the same as far as i know.

WTF?!? then what the hell are these weirdass keepers that came out of the PYR head? they are clearly a diff color, and thickness than my OEM B16 ones...

Damn man, I have never seen that before. Doesn't look like that much material was removed though. As far as I know all porters shave the guides. I have a head done by them as well, so this has me curious.

I will try to get ahold of Peter and ask him directly for you. Not sure I will be able to, but I can try since I am a little closer than you

thanks man appreciate your help, yea i know they usually shave them but some of the others look shaved a lil thin and i bet this on was even thinner.

Yeah ask him about keepers if you can i wanna know wtf kinda keepers these are.

Here are pics of stock keeper installed vs ???? keeper installed... note the lower seating position.

I have tried pulling the valve thru with the mystery keepers and the omni retainers off the head and i couldnt but im wondering why they seat so much lower... do you think they are safe?

STOCK:

????:

I talked to Peter, and he confirmed that he only used Honda keepers. Let me know if you still want his #, I will PM it to you.
