Default ? ? ? Put a blow off valve on a JRSC ? ? ?

Hey guys, everyone loves the sound of a blow off valve. SO, can you put one on a supercharger? Would it help / hurt performance. This might not even be possible but i thought i'd ask. Thanx

osbornsm, It cant be done due to where the JRSC is placed.

neither is it necessary. the idea behind a BOV is to relieve pressure surge when the throttle plate closes.

http://www.vortecheng.com/yourcar/99-00civic.html , go there and at the bottom there is a picture of a b-series motor equiped with the vortech system and you can see that it has a blow off vlave on it....

We are not talking about the Vortech, we are talking about the JRSC. The vortech can use one because it builds boost before the throttle body.

I dont think you can...you definately cant with JRSC...the compressor is in the intake manifold, so hence no piping.

second,, the SC compressor is always moving since its powered by the crank which is also always moving...so I'd imagine that you'd hear this contant hissing sound at idle.....annoying...like a pressure cooker...

I know somebody out there sells an electronic fake BOV and a fake intercooler as well, sounds right up your alley
