PurOl on boosted D17A2 Civic
Just thought I would share some results on PurOl oil used on a Boosted D17A2 in a 2001 Honda civic. I was surprised. A quick rundown on the civic.
It was tuned by someone else when I got it and it needed a new turbo, (turbo was shot) So after fixing all his issues and replaced the turbocharger with a new "Disco Potato" I took it down to Bisi @ BisiMoto Engineering. The factory waste-gate was set at 9 psi. car would spike @ 9psi but then fall off to 7psi. All pulls were on same boost "wastegate pressure"
I was very please! Oil used was PurOl 5-30 customer had mobile 1 5-30 synthetic oil in the car when I brought it in. I was very please with the results. Car spools up quicker and run's allot cooler than it did before. I plan on running this oil in my new build after the engine is properly broken-in.
