Project SR20VE+T.... Yes, it has 'VTEC' =OP
How’s it going guys?! It is not a Honda but I’d figure I’d post it to an open minded crowd? The car was tuned conservatively because this is still my daily driven car & my baby getter (50 miles daily).
Setup:
Stock SR20VE Head (I got VTEC )
SR16VE Block
SR20DET Crank & Girdle
SR16VE N1 Intake manifold and TB (70mm TB)
Wiseco 8.8:1 pistons (Actual Compression 9.1-9.3:1)
Eagle Rods
Nismo 740cc injectors
Precision SC61 Turbo (Stage V wheel)
RevHard Log Manifold
2.5" hotside & 3" aluminum coldside
EMS Stinger 4424
Dyno Chart @ 24psi:
The red line dyno was based on my old DET setup @ 20psi from last year.
Max numbers of the day was 504 whp & 405 wtq (not on this pass) without any cam gear adjustments. The car saw over 40 passes on the dyno because I ran into some low voltage fuel pump problems. In a couple of weeks, I will tune for 30 psi and cam gear adjustments.
The car:
This is the only current engine bay shot I have. This was before I went with the EMS couple weeks ago.

nice numbers man.
can you adjust those gears on the dyno? I looks like it'd be a pain in the ***.

It is a PITA. That is why I left the cam gears alone. That is the problem with chain driven motors.
FYI, in the pic where you can see the cam gears, you'll notice the intake cam is 5* retarded. This was reset back to 0* to get baseline dyno numbers.

Used to have a B13, '93 black w/ no rust and properly fitting doors, heh. I do regret selling it sometimes. Nice swap, love the Tsuru front, almost what I thought of doing!

Re: (willie_su2166)
As for the VE series, the SR20VET has the strongest bottom end (even stronger than the almighty GTiR SR20DET). Since it is still fairly a new motor outside the states, it is very difficult to locate one.
As far as the most potential, any VE motor will be better than the older DE, due to the fact that it has a superior head design.
