Default Project Perry Winkle Finally done **Non-Honda**

So after spending 2 yrs. waiting for deals on parts and saving money after paying the bills. I've finally finished my project. It's been dubbed the skittle, furbee and the shitbox by many of my peers. I'm not going to argue, it's an ugly color/car.

Big thanks to Tom Hartshorn for helping me build the entire car. It couldn't have been done with out you homie!!! I also want to thank John Reed, Tim Robards, and Brian Robards for their help as well! Williewilliefast I didn't forget about you...Nice

No need to be sorry homie! I'd rather post this than a 800hp civic that runs 13's.

OOHHH the worst i have seen is a 500 whp civic that ran 12.8... thats a 13's in disguise. So yeah your pun is valid!

heh anyways the cams and valvetrain play a significant role but not that HUGE. still its on the auto-tune which is never the best, most likely is running pig rich and pulling a lot of timing. Plus if u dynoed on those slicks and the car was tied very damn strongly to the dyno they do tend to rob some HP

still here i go again...

Full Boost @ 6k? thats a d16 in disguise!

sorry had to do it again...

I love the internet trash talking! I could care less about the HP numbers that this stock motor setup put out. I'm more impressed that I built a DSM motor that doesn't leak oil!

I don't understand how an auto trans can make a motor run pig rich and retard timing all by itself.

i read with my ***, i thought you typed auto-tune as in the auto tune feature in some boxes...

no oil leaks is always good

Nice. I've always wanted to build something like this for a daily. Now I can't remember for the life of me who had the 9 second one a few years back. It wasn't a street car though.

What kind of power loss do you get with a auto vs manual tranny like 20%?If that auto tranny holds up well that could be a nice consistent car

Usually it's about a 30% loss through an auto. It's definitely something we're hoping that works well if not, it's not the end of the world.

Thanks for all the positive and negative comments. Hopefully the rain will hold during the next event at our local track.

The Q45 TB works awesome. The throttle feels like stock. It doesn't stick like many of the aftermarket TB's out there. The only thing i recommend doing is building a throttle stop for your pedal.

I went for a quick test drive last night to get the shift points down and the car is quicker than i thought.
