Problems fitting oil presure sending unit using GE Oil Sandwich Plate
I'm using the ge ls/vtec conversion kit and the stock oil pressure sender wont fit in the stock location, its about 1/4 of an inch off of hitting the hole. I have the line to remote mount it, i was just wondering if anyone had the same problem

thats not a stock oil pressure sending unit. it looks like a autometer or something but diff. not a stock piece.

Even if it did fit its probably not a good idea to mount it like that. Vibration will crack the fitting in the block after time. Best thing to do is have some kinda line made and mount it to the firewall.

yeah, that doesn't look stock at all. If it is, just go ahead and mount it someplace else. Or you can just move the hole over a little!

not without a bspt-npt adapter, as the ge plate is npt and the pressure sender is bspt, but i cant... as i ahve a turbo and head feed line coming off of mine

Your gonna have to grind alittle on the GE plate.Dont grind the oil pressure sender it seals at the end so if you grind it will leak.Im sure its thick enough to handle a little grind.Or you could try bend the tabs down slightly on the oil pressure sending.It look so close to fitting.

Stock b-series sensors are a little larger in diameter than the threads of that hole, nothing close to as large as what you have pictured.

That's what I was gonna suggest
Just run a line from the one GE port to the firewall somewhere. Then you could use something like a 3 way female 1/8 NPT Tee. Check out summitracing.com and search for part number AER-FBM2150 You can screw your autometer sender directly to the Tee and use your male 1/8 npt to male AN fitting to connect your feed line to the Tee. You can also search on summitracing for p/n NOS-16776NOS or AER-FBM2881
The AER-FBM2881 is a steel T fitting with two -3an male fittings and one 1/8npt female fitting. If you are running -4an oil lines though use p/n AER-FBM2882 The cool thing about this fitting as you can see in the pic is you can mount your sender to the firewall and screw it into the 1/8 npt port on the T. Then you can screw your AN feed line from the GE plate directly to the T and on the other end screw in your AN feed line that goes to the turbo. It only costs $9-$10, not including shipping.

I put a T on the GE sandwich: one for the aftermarket sending unit and the other for the oil feed line to the turbo. The sending unit is liked a plug. Therefore, it doesn't reduce your oil pressure for your turbo. I left the oem sending unit untouch.

hmmm, oh well. the adapter plate is npt, but the stock pressure sender is bspt. i guess autometer made theirs npt.
does anyone know where i can find a female - male 45* 6-an adapter?
