problem after greddy turbo kit install
we recently installed the 92-95 greddy turbo kit on our friends 90 crx si with a d15b vtec engine. the ecu hes running is a p28. He has the boomslang obd1 conversion harness along with boomslang emanage harness. he got both of them together so it would just plug right in. anyways....everything was fine when we started it, but after driving it around the block, it idles up and down between 1000-1500 rpms. there is no check engine light...anyone have an idea what it could be? i tried searching for him, but came up with nothing. any help would be appreciated. thanks guys

Re: problem after greddy turbo kit install (SFWD 1934)
my car did the same thing at first after the install. it went away. i was told it had something to do with the new injectors, but who knows. my car now kinda does the same thing with a p-72 chipped with uberdata until it reaches full temp.

I assume you are running some kind of a "chip", correct? Your fluctuating idle is most likely a result of the chip if so. You need to tune said "chip" and it should resolve your problem. A lot of those so called "chips" out there run either way too much, or too little fuel at idle. This will cause the bounching idle. That combined with incorrect TPS voltage.

he installed a boost gauge yesterday and the vacuum read 20 at idle, im not sure if thats good or bad. how would i go about checking the map and tps sensors? thanks for all the replies guys!!! keep em coming.
btw, he has an unchipped p28 ecu, greddy emanage, and stock injectors. hes only running the stock 5.5 lbs of boost

Re: (Hatchamaback)
ok well its not a vacuum leak. replaced the iacv before, and the car ran fine before turbo. could the emanage be bad? how about timing? willing to try about anything to get it fixed. thanks guys
