Is the price for this turbo "expensive!"
hello Ht members i was wondering if this turbo was worth $700 let me list the specs
Specs on the turbo:
Precision turbo
.70 a/r cold side
.58 a/r hot side
Less than 2000 miles on the turbo
Minimal shaft play, like new
Never boosted above 14 psi, but will handle up to 28psi
Oil return/feed lines (steel braided) included
Full boost by 2800RPM (pulls hard!!!)
T4 frame, will fit any T4 manifold
[/quote]
what do you guys think?

No.... Not necessarily.. hahaha, I wasn't trying infer anything. I was stating that to make sure you saw the condition of the wheel and knew what it was. That would help determine its value. In addition, I stated that if it WAS IN FACT a 66mm wheel, it COULD be worth up to $700 to the right buyer. Otherwise, you have to see what the market will bare.
Sorry if It seemed as though an amount could be just "STAMPED" on there...

no way do i see a t4 turbo with a 66mm wheel making full boost by 2800 rpms on a honda even though it has the smallest t4 hotside, maybe on a chevy ls1 but not on a honda
so if the seller told you that he's lying, and now you have to wonder if he's lying about that what else is he lying about?
just something to think about

You can get some of the new billet wheel Precisions from Honda-Tech vendors for around a hundred more than that, so I think I'd say "not worth it." But that's just me. . .

If it fits the need that he has (maybe) why purchase a new unit? Because one simply CAN? We don't know his resources or his value system of "worth it". To me, repairing and finishing many times is worth more to ME, then worrying about additional hassle of selling the old unit and getting additional funds for a new one. It may work for him, it may not.
