Preview Pics of the Aluminum Internals in our new motor!!!
Here are some pics of the pistons and rods that are going in my new setup. These rods weigh 360 Grams compared 522 gram crowers and 550+ Pauters. The pistons are also lighter than all other brands but i dont know the exact weight. Notice how chunky the rod is and it still is super light. also, notice where the bearing sits in the rod it has a dowel style pin that works to eliminate spun bearings. The bearing must be custom machined for this rod to accept the pin. We expect to see 30-40psi of boost on a t70 GTS trim turbo with these internals. I am not able to disclose the compression ratio but lets just say it very very low. So we will be running A ton of boost. Stay tuned for more pics of the assembled motor later this week. We expect to be up and running by December 1st.

Wow. Good luck with the new setup. looks lightweight and very promising. Kinda leading the way for many in the street car scene with those rods.

I cannot release the manufacturer of the rods until after the PRI show. So in a few weeks all info can be released.
As far as stretching goes. we have seen already 50+ dyno pulls, 35+ track passes and 840whp on these in the SFP/Arospeed car. they were pulled and sent back to the manufacturer and showed 100% zero stretch. The only requirement on a street car is to bring the engine up to running temp before beating on it.

Actually its just a fossil. Quick background on that comment so you guys are int he loop. Anyone ever notice that there is always someone that makes a comment about something way in the background of the pic that has to do with nothing?? Like a pic of a car in the front yard and someone says " hey is that a john deere mower i see in the background". or nice workbench in your garage. you get the idea.
This setup is for the Green Street car that will be running Nopi for 2004. It still needs a stock dash, door panels, carpet and few other things but I will worry about that in feb march. for now it will be a street warrior still. thanks.

I am not 100% sure as Frank@SFP is doing the assembly. From what i remember him saying you have to check each block for clearance. Some may need it and others may not. They are thicker but i am not sure if they are much wider than a pauter.

I'm sure it doesnt 100% eliminate it but I'm sure it reduces the chance a lot.

I really really hope you some tricks up your sleeve to put that to the ground most people can't even get 600+ to the ground. And if you got any tricks let me know

I dont plan to make that much hp. The 840whp was made to test the strength of the internals. SFP ran the 10.29 last week at only 17psi of boost and a 75 shot. Those #'s were made at over 30lbs and spray.

They look like some GRP Rods and pistons! I know some other people that run those and that is what they resemble.

Anyone notice how fatty the ringlands are on those pistons?
Definately Custom....
How much do these rods stretch @ 9000-10000 rpm? Id be worried that in an all-motor car you would have to run more pistons-head clearance and therefore less compression. The weight is awesome tho...
