Default prepping the motor for turbo, any tips?

I'm going to boost my y7/y8 mini me in a few months. The block has 97k miles and the mini me setup has been running for 12k of those miles. I'm thinking about getting all of these parts installed/replaced: arp head studs, oem headgasket, timing belt, and water pump. For now I don't want to put in forged internals. Is there anything else I should look to replace? The clutch will come after this as well as some kind of catch can setup.

How long are you going to run this for, before a rebuild or a build up? I had the same setup, mine was over that for miles. Mine isn't my daily though, just a toy, but i sent 15 psi to it. You don't need arp, peace of mind though. Like i said, depends on when you are going to redo it. I was planning to rebuild mine this winter anyway, so i just played with it, and if it blew up oh well. Well it runs like a champ, starting to burn oil though. Compression was decent, they all built to around 215 - 225, but number one hit really low on the first hit. I'm pretty sure my valve seals are fine, as they only have about 10,000 miles on them. A new timing belt would be a great idea though

The last time I checked compression it was around 185 across the board, but I will check again. I have no plans on building the block. I just want to run 200whp daily driven. With the turbo I am using, I think 8-9 psi will get me to my goal. I already purchased arp head bolts so I am going to use them. The stock headbolts were re-used when I did the mini me so I sure as hell am not going to boost with those still on.

Good choice

With Forced Induction, if you buy cheap, you buy twice

All I'm doing for my motor is timing belt, valve adjustment, water pump, arp headstuds, headgasket, a basic tune-up, changing transmission fluid, and check the compression to make sure they are consistent And my motor has 194k miles on it Perfect compression too
