Precisions new vband flange?
I got a turbo manifold and downpipe already. Everyone i have asked about the new Precision billet turbos has told me they do not come with a standard vband flange? Anyone have pics or info on this?
I will be getting the Billet 62mm t3 and i have a 3"vband on the downpipe.

i have a pair of billet 6265's here with the precision flanges. other than the precision flanges being a lot nicer, it looks like the standard vband flange and clamp should still work.

Re: Precisions new vband flange?
I have one on my new Precision 6265, its not a standard 3" vband flange though just a heads up. On the t3 housing precision uses a slightly smaller vband. the leading outer edge on flange is like 3.1-3.2 inches... where as what is generally called a 3" vband is 3.6" ish inch flange at the leading outer edge.

these are T4 units...i just grabbed a vibrant 3" vband and it works on the t4 housing. the vibrant vband flange outer edges are a little larger than the turbo, but it still works just fine.

I have got a 6262 and a 6265 both have vband exhaust smaller than 3" clamp.

You can buy them from Precision or your Precision dealer which is what I did or just a quick link (not the cheapest place)... you can check out ATPTURBO.com link below.
Note the description on this clamp they added just cause of situations like this with the t3 vband housing... the t4 vbands are normal industry standard 3" from what I understand.

I can get you the flanges and clamp.
OMGB16, the Precision flanges are a little different. Ive been meaning to talk with them about it to find out why because it can be a little inconvenient.

Re: Precisions new vband flange?
I dont want to have a 2.5"->3" flare on my downpipe. I think i will just get a new vband welded onto the turbo.

Yes it is. I send a pm to the guys who build my manifold/downpipe and im waiting to see what they say. If they dont want to fix it for me, i think i will just get a flange/clamps and get one made locally

Re: Precisions new vband flange?
The flange from precision is kinda got a very minor beveled flare to it on the size with a lip so that it fits very snug right into a 3" pipe there is no need to get a 2.5 -> 3 flare.
Its not really a 2.5" flange honestly if you measure the diameter of the opening its just shy of 3" ID so its an in between odd size.
