Precision SC61 vs. Garrett GT3076R
Which turbo would you prefer on a Built GSR with the PEAKBOOST TOPMOUNT KIT?? My hatch will be weekend driven only for the streets. I'm gettin a awesome deal that I can't refuse from one of the sponsors and I want to know if anyone else is running either or on the same setup or for the two different turbo's?? How identical are they in specs?? How do you like it compared to each other?? which one is a better all around turbo?? Just curious and who's running what and how do you like the response. Thanks in advance.

I would say the SC61 will make more power, depending on the size, but the 3076 will have better midrange response.

SC61 is similar to the GT35 so you are pretty much comparing a GT35 to a GT30. The GT35 has more power potential so...

SC61 is a bit overkill unless going for more topend power. The topmount manifold helps with that, but will affect response quite a bit with the smaller units.

for your power goals i would opt for a gt30r, they are way underrated, your get nice response compared to that journal bearing sc61 which is larger as well. the gt30r will hit your goal no problem

What motor was this on? Seems a little low for 20psi on a sc61. I am making 416 at 15psi with a t3/t4 60trim. A buddy of mine made 457 on 16psi with the sc61. All on pump gas.
OP, if you want to make at least 450 then go for the sc61.
