Default Precision bearings (TheShodan)

Hi, trying to overall my SC34, I bought the t31 turbine wheel, dynamic seal and oil seals. But not find the journal bearings at any place, here in P.R. they not exist at any turbo center or speed shop.

A friend told me to replace the precision center section for a traditional gerrett unit and use standard bearings. This is an option?

If its one of the newer ones past 2006-2007, you'd have to send it back to Precision for rebuild, as the bearing circumferences between Garrett and precision are different.

I've PM'd you some other info, as to how other portions are different than Garrett. I know PR has Garrett and Borg-Warner shops there that have spare parts. But even when those guys tried to rebuild a Reaper, they used the wrong heat shields and other components.. So it doesn't surprise me that those guys don't have Precision parts (even from dead turbos) around.
