Power looks good for that b16!

Just curious, who is the tuner? AFR's at 10.47, thats really really really rich, im sure there is lots more power to be made if you lean it out to around 11.5-12.0~

I think the power looks really low. At 8 psi with my 6765 I mAde 325whp. I thought the 6265 put out similar power

unless its the same dyno its pointless to say something like that. I think the power looks really good because that compressor isnt doing much at lower boost levels. Your larger compressor will flow more air at a lower PR since its larger, or maybe your tune is a little better. Nothing wrong with this ones power though.

Looks good, but I do have one thought. You went with the larger turbine wheel, but then paired it with a small housing. I think you may have been better off using a 6262 with a .81 housing instead.

way to rich!! what rpm are you revving to? power is not even falling off so looks like you can rev it higher.

I bought my turbo from a local shop here in kc. the cheapest I found online was $825 shipped from a sponsor on here. The air fuel isn't accurate, because the wideband wasn't ever hooked up to the dyno. As I have one in the car and used that and my hondata s300 to tune.

92Redhatch...Your not comparing apples to apples. So unless you have the exact same setup that I have, that statement has no ground to stand on. Turbine housing's, manifold setup, compression, size of the motor, the health of the motor, all play a pivitol role in HP and TQ numbers.

I went from a t3/t4 turbo on 30psi making a little over 400hp, to this, so needless to say I'm freakin estatic.

Gas used was tracktek 111 19-20degrees of timing
Tuner was chuong from Revline here in kc,mo

I'm reving the motor to 9k

The reason for the smaller turbine housing is because it's a t4(=bigger) and not a t3(smaller). And the 6265s was recommended to me by Precision and from my tuner also.

Looks good. Good numbers for a b16. We made 670whp @ 28psi with the billet 6262 on a 2.0L GSR, These turbos make good power!

Who is doing the tuning? You can get a better powerband out of it with some ramping of the boost with a boost solenoid via hondata.

Sorry about the AFR "graph" guys.

My dynojet's AFR logger doesn't work very well, so I bought the dynojet analog box so I can put the wideband into the O2 bung in the exhaust and get a more accurate reading.

Most of the cars we tune, we have the ecu datalog everything. They must have clicked on the "2 graphs" and left AFRs on. Hence why you see an AFR line. Trust me, we don't tune it to 10.47 AFR. And that's a really straight AFR line.

I felt the car made decent power for a B16. I'm sure tweaking it here and there can gain more power. We can play with the PWM boost so boost ramps in quicker instead of opening the solenoid @ 4 psi. I'm sure that'll pick up more power and the torque curve can flatten out instead of rise all the way to the limiter.

Oh yes, the car is on hondata's boost by gear. The boost ramping isn't really done yet. I just did quick duty cycle adjustments and recorded peak boost levels.

Is he frequency of the boost solenoid still unadjustable in Hondata?

1) didn't really have time to do it, he wanted to go to the track @ 6 pm and we were on the dyno @ 5:25ish

2) It was already spinning, so ramping in boost earlier would only make it worse

Hondata has an option that will keep the solenoid "closed/open" (depending on boost solenoid used) until X psi. I think by setting it to about 2 psi before your desired boost level, that boost will ramp in quicker. So instead of it pulsing like 10 % and creeping up to XX psi, it'll just not do anything until XX psi then it'll pulse.

PS. It's like a free traction control setup, but not really j/k

Nice power... IF it was really that rich (10's) how much power can be made by leaning it out mid - high 11's.. would it be worth it ?
