Re: (DfwBB6)
i love the pics guys
anyway my question is about the size of piping you people use, if the a1000 has dash 10 fittings, what do you run at the fuel rail? my AEM is dash 6
do you guys just run a reducer fitting to dash 6? than what size is the return line from the FPR. my FPR is all dash 6.
so what do i run?

Re: (hyabusa hunter)
you should be able to get a -8 nipple with -6 threads. my vortech rail has the good o-ring fittings. earls has that fitting. but on the aem rail i am not sure because of the washer seals. but a decent hydraulics shop should have it.

Re: (boostedcivicsir)
so will it be ok with the aem fuel rail? running dash 10 to it? that is my main concern here. i can get a connector that will have a dash 10 on one side and a dash 6 on the other, thats no problem. was just thinking about flo. so will it be ok?

and most of the fitting companies are selling metric to an fittings...i just picked up the ones to go to 8an on my setup...haven't installed it yet...and the metric threads don't seal like pipe thread, so i think you'll need to run a copper washer...not sure if this is correct...still trying to figure it all out myself...'

We sell the 12x1.5mm to -8 and I have been doing a conversion kit to run from the outlet to a -10AN male for those that run a -10 AN line. It's a simple straight aluminum tubing with 1/2' tube/nut assembly.
On the inlet side, we stocked the -8An and -10An. You can use o-ring as long as they are approved for your gas choice, Viton or Bunan will be fine. Crush washers are okay too. I never put teflon tape on metric threads...
Remember, I have been running Bosch pump in my setup for over 4 years and I haven't took them off yet still works like a charm..

Re: (hyabusa hunter)
i dont know of a -10 to -6 single fitting. less a fuel pump fitting.
but as far as i know you can go from a -10 to -8 then 8- to -6.
but i know there are fuel pump fittings that have a -8 nipple with a -6 pipe with an o ring.
985086ERL is the fittings i have on my reg.
thats a -8 nipple to -6 straight o-ringed pipe.

Re: (hyabusa hunter)
I run -10an feed and the inlet on my rail was -8an. What I did was bought a -10 to -8 adapter and drilled the center out the same as the -10an side. Rail diameter is 5/8". I don't know if it matters much having a bottleneck in a sytem like that but now my feed is -10 from the pump to the rail. I doubt you could do that with a -6an tho.

Re: (hyabusa hunter)
im getting the car tuned shortly and the fuel setup i have wont be man enough, at present i have a walbro HP 255, stock fuel lines, AEM fuel rail, AEM universal FPR, 1600cc injectors, AEM EMS
my plans are 700whp and a 100 wet shot for the strip.
im going for a fuel surge tank in the boot (keeping the pump inside the car, wheather conditions suck here, very salty roads) with a A1000 pump on -10 lines all the way to the fuel rail, than -8 return line, will have a inline filter to.
will the aem rail being -6 flo what i need? will the aem FPR handle this?
need to get this sorted asap

Re: (hyabusa hunter)
get the fitting or one like i showed you, there is enough in the -6 sied to be bored out. i did the same. just be nice when you tighten it.
friend on this board made 800 + on -8 line. with 1600's youll be ok.

so would a washer like one on your oil drain plug be ok...that's what you mean by crush washer, correct? obviously it will just need to be a larger diameter...i also picked up some teflon tape from home depot that is ok for fuel...i'll run the tape and a washer just to be safe...
are there any rules that don't allow the fuel pump to be mounted inside the car...i was thinking of puttin it in the spare tire well...i'm using a modified stock pickup with a bosch...thanks...
