Nope, the intercooler goes all the way to the very corners of the headlights and I had to completely trim off all excess metal from the corner lights.

EDIT: Added an old shot of the Typ. 24

I have the same intercooler. I wish it was wider instead of being so tall. 50% of its blocked from any air flow. Yet the corners of my grill have some airflow unused.

How did you mount it?

Trust intercooler for a 1JZ powered Toyota JZX100 Chaser. It's supposed to be good for 650hp.

You have to decide first if you need an IC that large. Adding length adds pressure drop, adding depth lowers it, adding height lowers it. It also lowers air velocity - higher velocity air will create turbulance, turbulance helps thin the boundry layer, a thinner boundry layer adds to heat exchange. As for outisde air passing though it, being too tall obviously has its problems, being wider helps (if you don't have air dams in those 'wasted' spots), and thicker hurts slightly due to more pressure slowing the air down.

I'm honestly supprised there's never been any big tests here showing differences between temps and pressure drops of small/med/large IC's.
