Post pictures of you bosch 044 in tank fuel pump
If you guys have any pics of how you installed it. Just want to get an idea of how to drop it into my tank. What kind of fabrication do I have to do?

i have tried and so has flameco-T (stan) the bosch 044 which is an INLINE and the bosch 040 which is a INTANK are both to beffy to fit in the stock location, plus when you cut the top of the tank to lay down the pump to fit it still sticks OUT and you end up getting air in the lines
if you have your heart set on an intank set-up just buy the dual walbro kit. OR do what i am doing an placing your bosch directly inside of a weld on fuel sump
heres my inspiration from the turbo vette owners
heres the full blown kit. when i tried o do this with the bosch 040 & 044 pump they all just sat half submerged in fuel and starved easily
here a cheap easy way to do thing if you DO NOT WANT to weld a sump

oh no!
I've read on HT so many people using the bosch intank successfully on hondas and this is why I purchased it.
Common, there must be successful setups!

no im sure you havent. im sure you heard about them using the bosch 044 which is a INLINE fuel pump.
the bosch 040 is a INTAKE fuel pump and is to big to fit in the stock location without issues.
the walbro is the more common route and fits in the stock location with no problems

How does this cause air to get into your lines? Please explain..
Reason I ask is because when I jumper my walbro pump to drain the gas tank into a gas-can i get bubbles when I'm a little under half a tank. Same thing happens to my friends CRX with the exact same setup.

your walbro is much smaller than a bosch 040 or 044 look at the bottom on the 040 in this pic. i had a good amount of the pump sticking up out of the baffle

none of the pumps used in that article are a bosch 040 or 044 and are of different diameter. thats why larry was able to fit that particular bosch pump in the stock location. dont debate about it, the 040 an 044 pump is just not small enough for the stock location plus it gets starved easy in the stock location
this is the best method next to welding a sump an yes that is the same method that larry has written in his diagram
to the OP: if you really want to try fitting your 044 into the stock location try using this http://www.jayracing.com/index...id=62
but just a warning it will get starved or may not fit without cut (i know first hand)

Re: Post pictures of you bosch 044 in tank fuel pump (tony413)
Thanks Tony, this actually is the sock filter I picked up (even from the exact same site)
I'm gonna try calling ENDYN on Monday just to find out which pump he used.
My original plan was to put the pump in tank and I still want to do it if their is a solution, however I'm considering putting the pump externally if I don't figure this out.
Anybody else?

Re: (blinx9900)
inconsistent, and when you have 10 psi honda setups, you wont see them fail. once you start bumping into 18+ psi youll start seeing pressure losses etcc
i've gone through four in my supra
my buddy has gone through i believe a total of 12 in his 3 walboro pump setup ( changes them out every season because inconsistent fuel pressure)
ask tony1 he wont agree that they're the most reliable thing either

for the price of 12 walbros he could have gotten an aeromotive, triple 044 bosch set-up, or weldon

good to know, my walbro has held up on 18psi runs but they were on 91 octane conservative tunes...
