Default plx dm-5 wideband regarding pin 10 (eld) quick question

Hey guys I just bought and for the most part have the plx wideband hooked up but i just have one quick quesiton regading how to tap into pin 10 (eld). Should i just spice into the wire? or should i depin the harness going to the ecu and run a wire directly from my plx box to d10?

Im wiring it this way because i was to use it through hondata instead of a stand alone. I have searched far and side on the plx site and hondatas site but the all just say to connect it to d10 "making sure eld is disabled"? im not sure what that means, and their not real exact on how to do it

please HALP!!

Just completely cut the eld wire coming from the ecu, then wire your wideband wire to the little peice of wire that is still left coming out of the ecu. Dont bother with the other end of the cut eld wire. Or you can put a pin on the end of your wideband wire, unpin d10 from the ecu, and then stick in your new pin you just made. Always disable eld after that.

There's a box to check in Hondata SManager that disables ELD, but you still need to sever the wiring from the ELD to the ECU. Either way mentioned above by the previous poster will work.

In the "MISC" tab of the Parameters section:
