installing those is much much much easier if you remove the casing, then you can use traditional snap ring pliers

Re: pliers for the hks ss c clamp (lazerus)
craftsman professional series c-clip pliers....they are only like 20 bones and work really good....
tip...take off the bullet shaped housing first, it makes it alot easier to get at the clip...and only 4 of the 8 allen head bolts hold the housing on, its the ones that stick out further (then alternate futher out, further in, further out, further in, ect.)...
to take the clip out, compress it with the pliers and stick a flat head screw driver in between the flange and the clip and pry one end out and it will come out easy
to put it in, i usually dont even use the pliers, just stick one end up and get it started in the the groove, then use a flat head screw driver and push it in from one end to the other (starting with the side that you put in the groove)
hope this helps

ive done a bunch with just a flat head screwdriver lol...it is kinda hard though...like i said, start one end of the ring going in the groove as much as you can around by hand, then slowely push in more and more working around the ring (while holding the other end not in the groove down) with the end of the flat head..it helps to have a friend doing it this method..then they can put their finger over the part of the clip that you got in the groove so it doesnt pop out.
good luck, it might just be easier to pop the $20 and buy some nice pliers, they come in handy

Re: pliers for the hks ss c clamp (gritsak)
the c-clip pliers are the easiest thing to do, unless you get lucky and are able to squezze that big **** of a clip enough to get it in.
