Please Help, Turbo GSR
Ok A friend of mine just installed a turbo kit on his Gsr in his integra
Its not boosting past like 4psi.
it has an external waste gate,
Can someone tell me The correct way to run all the vaccumn hose from the waste gate and blow off valve?
i just cant figure out why it wont boost higher, right now we have the fitting from the compressor side to the side port on the waste gate, and the top port of the waste gate to nothing because he has no controller
the blow off valve is tapped in to the fpr hose, and so is the boost gauge
and what are these pieces for

The ring goes between the wg and its mounting flange and your losing boost because its not in there. blow off valve goes to a vacuum line in the intake. You should be able to find a diagram for the wg. ones atmospheric and the other should be a vac source closest to the turbo I think the bottom one, not sure though.

yes at idle the waste gate is open and letting out exhaust,
So does just the ring go in between the waste gate, and flange, or the ring and that other flange to, because it has a groove that fits the ring

Take the waste gate off and put the fire ring in the waste gate, then bolt it back up.
The other flange is for making a dump tube.

Re: Please Help, Turbo GSR
ok sweet, so what exactly does this ring do? the waste gate is open at idle, will this ring fix that or does that have somthin to do with the vac lines?
I tried searching but i cant find a waste gate diagram for my setup
im not gonna use a boost controller, i just want to run boost off the waste gate

Get that fire ring in there and you should be good. It's probably hooked up properly if you had a diagram with the wastegate. Off the top of my head, I can't remember how to run the wastegate lines for just using the wastegate spring. Just look for a diagram quick.
You can run the vacuum source from the intake manifold, too. Some setups can lose some pressure from the turbo by the time it makes its way into the intake runners. The turbo will compensate for this loss in pressure and you'll get the most out of the desired wastegate spring / pressure level.
