Planning out my fuel system, input appreciated
Need to put the order in for my fittings and line, and drew this up real quick.
Wanted to get some opinions if there was any other better way to go about doing this?
The car will be running off 8 RC 750cc injectors, the secondary rail only when neccesarry
-10 Feed, -8 Return

yes you are wrong
as long as the pump isnt mount way high then its fine..... Many of people run the Aeromotive like he wants to with no problems

I looked into the Aeromotive pump, and just feel a bit more comfortable with the twin Bosch's, in all honesty twin Walbro's would flow enough as well, but the reliability of the Bosch's is what really makes my mind up for me.
Any thoughts/comments on the fuel line routing?

they are fine for a dd.... like I said, as long as you dont mount them way high then its fine. Plus he is running a sump. So he will have more to play with when mounting.
Also I dont think this is a DD setup.... well I dont know many people who run 8 injectors on a DD

I am not saying that twin Bosh's are a bad idea.... I guess it comes down to personal preferance

he said he was only running the secondary rail when necessary so i thought maybe it was some crazy *** dd.

...the car will be running SFWD this season, but I will be driving it on the street.
My reason for the 8-injector setup is this -
Obviously I can get plenty of fuel flow out of four, larger injectors. But I want to keep the turn-key aspect of the car. No resistor box or driver box, and just have 4 750's taking care of initial start-up, idle, and light throttle, and the additional 4 for when I need it; as opposed to fighting inconsistent idling of 1600's
My reason for the 8-injector setup is this -
Obviously I can get plenty of fuel flow out of four, larger injectors. But I want to keep the turn-key aspect of the car. No resistor box or driver box, and just have 4 750's taking care of initial start-up, idle, and light throttle, and the additional 4 for when I need it; as opposed to fighting inconsistent idling of 1600's

what kind of numbers are you looking to lay down with that? i'm guessing 8-900whp if you need two 044s...

The 4094r will be sitting on the shelf for now, I've been having success so far with the stock motor and the 30r that's in the car now.
With the built block in, and the new setup, I'd like to see 750whp+. We'll see what happens.
So I take it the general census here is I'm good to go?

You don't want to run the bosch pumps in series like that, you want to run them in parallel. Give each pump it's own feed and inlet filter, then Y them into 1 line after the pumps and go through another filter before the rail.
Or, since you're doing 2 rails, run 1 pump to each rail.
Or, since you're doing 2 rails, run 1 pump to each rail.

Y after the pumps, or don't Y at all. If you Y after the pumps, you'll have to Y again to go to each rail. Just run 1 pump to each rail. Treat it as 2 single fuel pump systems. They'll both go into the same regulator and maintain the same pressure, and return to the same place. I'm not sure on the oem fitting thread, but it'll be a metric thread. Probably M12x1.5 or something.

Curious as to why you suggest routing it this way? Will the pumps not flow as efficiently being fed on right into the other as in the diagram? I will be taking your advice, just would like to know for my own knowledge the reasoning behind it.

The filter should be after the pumps shouldn't it? closer to the rail I thought was the general place you wanted to put those. Also, allowing you're running a 10 micron filter I don't think the return line filter will have any effect at all, since it isn't going to pick up any debris on the way back, any debris would enter at the tank, so basically you're just filtering fuel before it has the chance to have any particles in it.

You should run a filter before and after the pump, but all on the feed line. Generally a more open filter before, and a fine filter after.
Running them in parallel increases the flow substantially. In series, it's possible to build very high pressure, and it will increase flow, but not to the extent of running them in parallel. In series you're still limited by the amount of fuel 1 pump will flow.
