Planning on building my ls motor...advice welcome
Hey guys, im a regular at g2ic but id like to ask some turbo questions, so i came to you guys. ive got a turbo 92 ls. I cracked all my pistons last year and replaced them with srp 9.0:1. I checked my compression last month and it read around 145 across the board, which i assume is a little low even for those pistons. Anyway i want my engine to be able to run strong on the streets, hopefully 9-11psi without worrying about it. At this point im looking to have my car be able to pull mid-high 13s on slicks, but above all else i want reliability. So let me know what you guys think. Im gonna stick with the ls just because i dont want to have to buy a whole new longblock.
Im thinking of sleeving the block, forged rods, keeping the srp pistons, etc. But what about the crank, head, oil pump? Any suggestions are welcome
Thanks
Andrew
