Default piston rings/turbo kit

i just rebuilt my b16 just put new piston rings/ rod bearing/ and springs and retainers in the head.. question is i just now rolled over the 500mi. and im going be to changing the oil... but im picking up a turbo kit this weekend so i was wondering how long i need to wait to install it for the piston rings/rod bearings to set properly

Piston rings are set 90% of the way the first 20 minutes you are driving.

Turbo that bitch, it's long broken in by now.

excellent thats what i was hoping to hear... that goes the same for the rod bearings to correct?

Yeah it's fine.

Some people break in their new motors with 0 miles on the dyno while tuning it.

We broke in my friends motor by street tuning it and its a built turbo D. You will be fine 500 miles is far beyond broken in.

Depending on the hone smoothness and what the rings are made up of but I'd say you should be fine.
