It could be your rings or the ringslands that hold the rings.
Recently i had to rebuild my motor because of both of these. I had white smoke that was visible coming out of that little line coming out of the valve cover anytime the throttle was pressed at all. Also there was a noticable change in the exhaust sound. Kinda sounded like a four wheeler. I didnt have any smoke out the exhaust though, if you have alot of that it generally means headgasket.
in my opinion your rings might be either going bad or are already bad. You can have it checked through a compression check of the cylinders. Money willing if they are bad, or going bad, it wouldnt hurt to just replace them with forged pistons and rods.
Basically if you plan to replace them might as well do the following as well while you have the motor apart.
Rings
Pistons/rods (forged or Oem if they are damaged)
Rod bearings
Main bearings
Head gasket
Timing belt
Water pump
and have the cylinders honed out.
thats basically a lite rebuild and shouldnt cost too much.

**** man... define 'too much'
To the originator of this post.- it would greatly help you to do a leakdown test, or have one done. That will help pinpoint your problem and tell you a lot more.
If you want to know how to do one, feel free to IM me.

Sounds like blow-by there have been similar cases on here with the same diagnosis.
