Pics of my car and turbo setup
Well guys after making my turbo comeback here is my work in progress. Plans are hondata/550cc and jason stoopid tuning in January. Im thinking about tuning to 1 bar, but not sure yet. Ill wait and talk to jason, and figure out the details when the time comes.
A little bit about the setup its.....
Precision sc34, precision FMIC, Inline pro mani, Revhard/Tony1 custom 2.5-3" downpipe, Custom piping made by me, welded by tony1 great welder Kteller8 3" exhuast piping w/3"apex n1, stupid fmu for another couple months Im running 7 psi right now and been running well since august with no problems.
omments/concerns/questions welcome.
I made this especially for turbothisls as well as hes been wanting to see what happened to his car for a while I promised him it would be in good hands
Sorry for the bad pics it got dark on us. Enjoy!

Re: Pics of my car and turbo setup (97civhatch)
Im seeing full boost at around 4100 rpm, and its hold its own until redline.
Yes this is on stock block and im goign to take it near 300 on the stock block, when it blows i just may throw in another stock block and boost the **** out if it again, Im not one of those guys that wants 400+ whp so well see what happens.
Fmu, well its a bandaid fuel setup, and i hate having it on thier, I was planning on hondata from the beginning, but funds fell short with my paycut at work
Thanks for the comments guys, I wish it was clearer so i could have gotten some beter shots of the car

Wow...that inline pro looks sexy...I just have a few quick questions...Dump tube just dumping to the ground? its kinda hard to see. Any why did you hack at your bumper..my personally opinion is to try not to show FMIC and if you do it pretty much fills the whole open area...but then again if i spent the money on a precision FMIC i might want to show it off too.....All in All Damn sexy...and good luck w/ the 1 bar boost. i dont think ive heard of anyone doing it very sucessfully on a Stock B18b1

Re: (MIKES)
On the dumptube yes its not very long, if you look closely its only about 4-5 inches long after the curve. I got it from jotech, some guy used it on a revhard manifold and I though it would fit perfectly. I actually played with the a/c line to make it fit right. I moved it up to a hole farther up for more clearance. I eventually will get i extended another 8-10 inches, but its doing it's job for now.
Yeah i know most people these days are running around 11-13 psi on stock ls hondata motors, but Ive seen jason's work, he does great things with stock motors. Tony said it himself " he couldnt have though of anyone better to fill his shoes @ jotech". Im trust him afterall if anythign happens Ill just throw in another $200 Ls block
I may not run 1 bar though, I just want to make around 280-295 on thsi setup. If it takes 12 psi then ill stop there, but well see. I know the motor and turbo setup has potential, but Ill post up results in January
On the intercooler I love it, although i wish it was a tad longer. Iv'e been considerign polishing the endtanks to give it a little more bling I may do it next weekend if i have time.

00b18b,
the exhuast sounds great, its no cat, no resonators, straigh thru. It's semi loud at partial throttle, in boost all you hear is turbo, but it's still quiter than any NA car It doesnt really sound like honda If anything it sounds like a mix between a turbo honda and a rotary
Jackson4door,
The gauge pod is a full black dual 52mm pillar. I was real picky with this, i didint want a little black half piece, because i didnt want the stock grey showing in the back. I was real **** and decided to just get this one
Also if anyone else is wondering or cares the piping is JC whitney piping. I bought it, made some measurements, cut them myself, had tony1 weld in a few spots, sprayed with some autozone aluminum 500 vht paint, and Walla
