people running "Joe P. MBC XZ" ... read..
i have this MBC.. purchased from http://www.boostcontroller.com . it worked great on my old eg. tring to use it on my current turbo ek.. and it is pissing me off b/c it doesnt seem to be working. it worked perfect. sat in the closet. then doesnt work..
i have the end purpendicular <sp> to the adjustor going to the actuator. the end straight under it coming from the vac source (FPR vac) tried loosening it all the way cuz it should run stock spring from the over boost protection right? didnt work... tightened it down a little.. still boosting too high. trying to get it to 8..
any advice? or better yet. anybody that owns this, can you post a pic of the instructions that show me which way the hoses go, and which was turns the boost up/down. TIA

I have a buddy who used to run that on his sr20det but we found it a lil screwy so he just ended up buying an hks wastegate to adjust boost. I'll try to see if he still has the instructions.

Re: (Sinner)
yea, thats how i had it.... but couldnt figure a way to set it so it would be low boost... there should be a way to start were it will only boost stock spring, then slowly go up instead of guessing and testing, then loosening more....
i even took the screw all the way out and it boosted to at least 10 or so.. i let off then it has an over boost catch on it, so shouldnt that make it run stock spring when it is all the way out?
how are these pressure gauge controllers made, i seen something on it in a search, but not in enough detail to decide if i wanted to go that route.

Re: (SOHC Beast)
if your trying to set the pressure, hook up a T to one side the an air pump, the other side to your boost gauge, work from there. It will get you close, within about +/- 2psi. work from there.

I believe i have the instructions at home, I have no way of scanningthem, but can fax them to you tomorrow if you'd like. Just give me a fax #, and if I have them, I'll fax them tomorrow.
