People with conversion harness/Hondata tach problem plz read
I have been reading a lot of these problems lately and just want to clarify that this is not because of Hondata, it is related to the conversion harness. Also it is more prominent in the 99-00 civics and the 00-01 tegs. To allow for proper tachometer operations you have to do the following:
solder in a 1 kilo ohm resistor between the icm wire(A21 on obd1) and 12V+ (yel/blk)
have a 16 0r 18 guage wire connecting the two with a 1 kilo Ohm resistor in the middle. HTH
