Default painting intercooler have affect on over heating?

i spray painted my intercooler flat black, would this have any affect on my car running hot on the interstate?

no it doesn't, usually its air in the cooling system or not enough air flow to the radiator due to the intercooler being in the way

it definately doesnt get any air flow to the radiator. the bumper and intercooler take up all the room.

try driving around with your bumper off and see if your heat issue goes away

i have the same problem as the OP but as soon as i take my bumper off the heating issue goes away on the highway. city driving is fine. highway driving temps reach 220+

the only way is to find some way to get air in. the way i did it was to cut a hole in my bumper. i know it sounds bad but i would rather not overheat my 5k motor.

yea i cute some holes in my bumper this morning......how long are you supposed to let ur car idle when filling it up with water? it seems i can never get it to fill up unless i drive it then come back home and fill it up more.

turn heater on and let sit until car is at operating temp.
if you wunna squeeze some coolant lines to get bubbles out that doesnt hurt

yea iv done that...so obviously i dont have air in the cooling system.

well on the way to work i didnt fill the radiator up enough, so it overheated like a mother efer lol. so i am going to fill it up at work and see if it helped when i drive home (10 min drive).
