Re: Is the JRSC 12psi blower pulley ok... (ModAddict) 11:05 PM 12/13/2002

ModAddict, You have the right pieces so far.
This is a setup I use all the time on B16As.
Stock blower pulley, ( 4.0" or 4.2")
Endyn stepper pulley and GSR or LS crank pulley. ( this will avoid belt slipage)
GSS 343 walboro fuel pump.
Cam gears , IN +2, EX -1
Type R exhaust cam.
This will give you 10 psi and with fuel and timming tunning, ie, Hondata or Z dyne, You should be 230-235WHP and it will run fine. At this blower speed you shouldn't see more than 220 deg exit temps. If I had it , I would send you a dyno of one I did a couple of weeks ago.

My set up is in the sig.
I was shooting for the 10psi. I'm right at 11psi without the adj. cam gears and R-exhaust cam. I'm going to do a cam swap using GSR cams w/adj. gears next week (+2in,-1ex).
Could the swap and dialing out the overlap get me to the 10psi?
If not, do you think I should I should swap the stock crank pulley back.
What A/F ratio do you try to tune to? I use 93 octane but here in winter there are additives used.
How much timing to you pull from stock at wot with your set-up?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Oh, I forgot to mention the new valve springs and bumping the rpms up to 9K!
Will that be ok also?

Re: paging CRVRX (ModAddict)
You sound like you have the right parts.
I would start off at 12-1 A/F untill you tune it close, Pull out 1 deg per lb of boost at stock timming.
Leave the boost it is . Shoot for 12.5 to 1 A/F when your done.
Look out for My intercooler , I will be releasing soon, See my sig.
Later, John.

a bump for John and his very impressive and well designed parts. I might not like the supercharger that much, but if you have one or like one, you really should listen to this guy, he is one smart cookie.

Re: paging CRVRX (tzsir)
Thanks John, And thanks for the use of your dyno too! Did you sweep up the rest of my belt ?
Dyno tuning is the best money spent!
I will post the dyno and intake temps soon, I have alot of Data of different test I have done and the intercooler has performed better than I expected.

Re: paging CRVRX (CRVRX)
Saw the pics of the intercooler, and all I can say is WOW!
I still need a price from you for the GSR intercooler kit.
Thanks, Michael
