Overheating GSR after Skunk2 IM install
About a week ago I was having serious problems with my Install on my manifold. Ever since I have been running extremely hot after about 30 minutes to an hour. All the way in the red. This is my question. What could be causeing this? Could the water pump of gone out? What would it do if it did go out? No leaking anywhere, no smell of coolant. So fustrating. I can turn the heat on high and the temp gauge drops big time within like 2 minutes. I am going to be driving about 60 miles tonight for about an hour to get my turbo put on. I would kinda like my car to be heathy before hand. Let me know what you guys think.

Re: Overheating GSR after Skunk2 IM install (Integra GSR 95)
you're overheating and having engine problems, and your going to put a turbo on it?
you're kidding, right?
your symptoms sound like a popped head gasket

Have you done any troubleshooting? Have you checked the thermostat or bled the coolant system?
Simple little things like that can cause you to overheat. Start there, since a thermostat is only a couple of dollars and very simple to change and bleeding the coolant is free.

No I haven't really checked into any of that. But I know for a fact it can't be the head gasket because I would be looseing power right? Someone else has also suggested it was the thermostat. Here's a question...Where is the heat and cooling sensor located? I noticed that the fan came on a a weird time once but now it will get really hot and the fan will not be on but sometimes still works.

Re: Overheating GSR after Skunk2 IM install (IN VTEC)
Only two lines we disconnected and they both connect to IM. Big hose little hose pretty easy I thought. But that's not it. I will bleed the coolant system and try that. That sounds to be the easy fix. But why would the fan come on?
