Ouch. Blown GSR Pictures inside!
I spent a couple hours removing the head off of my friends GS-R. I wonder what happend. It's been boosting for over a year @ 9 PSI. He said he was just cruising and heard a "tick tick tick" and then something DROP and a KABOOM! The block is trashed basically. Looks like the rod is snapped. Piston is in many many peices.
All cylinders are fine except for the #1. There are two gouges. Also a huge chunk of the cylinder is chipped off. The crank bearing looks toasted....
Also the head, i'm not sure if its repairable or not. Looks like fragments of the piston/rod ate it up.

hehe...do you think lack of oil messed it up? Because I looked and there is no oil 
my friend said he was gonna add oil...but i guess he forgot

spun a rod bearing ,locked up on the crank,snap the rod ,put the pistons in to the head

haha the parts...i got dibs on the "VTECH" HEAD!!!
well i'm not too sure yet. i have to ask him if he's sellig any of the stuff. he hasn't seen these pics yet since he's at work...

there is definetly no oil!!!
I looked at the crankshaft bearing surface and it is DARK BLACK, which means he definetly spun a rod bearing.

ok my friend says the vtec head is for sale. i can take close up pics of the damage.
the damage isn't that much on the head. just only for cylinder #1
