Default OT: what would displacement be if you bored a b16 to 84.5MM?

Like the topic goes....They're cheaper and easier to find than a gsr motor...would I get close to 2000cc's? Or would it be just a little over 1900cc? HOw would I measure this?

If you are not going to use a B18C or B17 crank the displacement will not be anywhere near 1900cc's since the B16 only has a 77mm stroke. I'll try to dig up the formula for displacement for ya!

for CC
BORE X BORE X STROKE X .0031416 = DISPLACEMENT

Here's one but it's for Ci and not cc...

for CC http://www.nateswaterart.com/vw/tech_tables/

volume of a cylinder = ((pi)r^2) x height
r is gonna be half your bore
height is gonna be your stroke.
take that and multiply by 4 and you have total displacement.

so for a B16 @ 84.5 mm bore:

(doing in cm so i get CC^3 at the end)

-8.45/2= 4.225
-(4.225)^2=17.850
-17.850 x Pi = 56.079
-56.079 x 7.74 (b16 stroke)= 434.054 CC per cylinder
so
1736.217 CC total displacement

a GSR with 84.5 mm bore = 1956.049 CC total

never mind guys, thanks for helping though...talked to GEM and it's about 1706cc or something like that....I guess it's time for another b18a motor from the junkyard...I would use the b18c1, but I can't afford the head, that's why I'm trying to sell my b18c shortblock

I wanted 850 shipped, but Steve(sgt)told me to hold onto it(I keep my word)...so if that falls through, then it's back to the classifieds for me.
The reason is, I'm kinda strapped for cash right now, and I know I won't be buying another gsr block soon, those things are fawking expensive as poo poo....I was lucky to get such a good deal on this one.
