Default OT: Stock SOHC Valvetrains revving to 9k

It's OT but I feel that this certain section has the most knowledgable people. Supposedly this can be done on SOHCs but not DOHCs. You are probably all going to say it can't be done and last a long time. But these guys in San Diego are doing it... they've banged on their car that way for a year and it holds up. They runs 12s in a sohc crx. I've seen the timeslips.. and they know what they are talking about. BTW, anyone know Jay from speedmachines? I found out he does a lot if not all the work for Pann, AEBS, etc. I went to their shop, they were ripping the head off of a RSX because Gude couldn't do it and recomended them. Oh, I think these guys were the brains behind MMR-USA but left to start their own business.

comments?

My friend had some headwork done to his SOHC, and an incresed rev limit. He took it to 8500 a few times on stock valvetrain.
