OT: The new Lancer EVO comes standard with...
... a water sprayer for the intercooler! A friend from dealership brought some of their brand new sales material over last night and the brochure mentions a manual controlled water sprayer. I never heard of such a thing from the factory...

subaru also had that as option on there cars as well. rally cars use it alot compared to more of the other factory turbo cars.

if the lancer is like that of the older ones..they come with 600CC injectors that DROP right into our cars..(well they are like dsm's)

Marketing. For that squirter to really effective, an alcohol/dry ice mixture (-80 C liquid) would be preferable.

On rally cars they're mainly for cleaning all the crap off the intercooler, but they do work wonders with a heat soaked inter-cooler though.
