OT: Can you run these at the track?
Will they let you run sand rails at the track?
Is there any special rules to running a "car" down there...like need for a windshield, doors, etc? The sand rail is basically a big roll cage
The cool thing is...it probably weighs around 1000 LBS with the engine...around 200 HP (flywheel)...should be running low low 12s...if not high 11s

Hmm...think so? What safety equipment would it need?
It has a roll cage (hell..it is a roll cage) and 4 point seat belts...what else is needed?

I often go to Maple Grove and on test and tune days they sometimes have a few snowmobiles and 4 wheelers running. I would get in touch with the track you plan to run at and ask them.

Ouch...well I just called the local track.
It seems you can run them...but you have to have quite a few safety things...alot more then normal.
You have to have a 5 point harness, window nets, arm restraints and DOT tires.
Damn...guess we're not going to be running it
