OT: Anybody know alot about T/A ws6's
this is all the info i recieved and it was over a cell convo so its kinda sketchy. I ussually do not condone or a big fan of street racing but...
some 16 high school kid got his parents to buy him an 00-02 t/a ws6. he was talking to kids at school about racing me for a pretty good amount of cash.
what i know about his car-
-00-02 t/a ws6- 6spd
-headers
-intake
-exhaust
-supposely it has cams? but freind said it doesnt like its cammed
my car-
set up is in sig, but its in a 2001 prelude chasis

I wouldn't say I know alot, but I do have one.
With a lid, LT's and exahust the car is good for mid-upper 12's on street tires, trapping around 108-112. With the same exact mods I pulled a 12.9 @ 110 and this was with a terrible 2.2 60'
With 400whp in a ~2900lb Prelude, I'm sure you can trap 112-115 +/-, you get him in a rolling race and I think you'll pull, from a dig though it's tough, depends how good he is and how good his tires are.

He bought the car for $20k....and the mods from the car are from some dumb *** kid. For all we know it could be stock.

Depends on driver to driver ofcourse like always. A 12sec car can lose to a 13sec car caused by error. On a roll would definately be in your favor. The ws6 run good with bolt ons and the 6 speed never hurts. good luck

Roll = You win. I've seen lightweight hatchback's with big turbo's only pushing mid 200's beat these cars from a roll.

you saying that you wouldnt take a 02 ws6 for free, and that you wouldnt race it? jealousy owns you. obviously a person would be more respected if they bought everything themselves and did everything themself. but if they get it free, then more power to them.

shouldn't be a problem for ya jon . i put about 6 cars on a modded ws6 in the teg from a 40 roll. kid was surprised to say the least. brake boosting is your friend

Not exactly. I'm saying that it's one thing to recieve a gift for your hard work. But it's another to beg your parents for a car to prove your social status and is surely going to get abused.
The only jealousy that I have is that I don't get a chance to race him and put him in his place.

TA ws6's run low 13's stock
with those mods and if he can drive ok, should be a high 12' to a mid 12 second car
if ur car is faster then that, go for it

ill do it. When i had my 4th gen lude "h22a+boost

Because he wants to go from a roll is an indication that he doesn't feel comfortable launching which makes me think he can't drive. I think you'll win on experience alone.
of course with your HP I don't think a roll start would help you unless you were in third
