Re: OT: 300zx rebuild (Malachi)
get the VG30DETT and swap that in there instead of that VG30E he has. might want to go single turbo too, custom fabricate a manifold and run a T-66 on that beast

Re: OT: 300zx rebuild
I say he sells that and buys a 90-95 TT Z32.
I know that it's a real headache to try and convert on of these from N/A to turbo, not totally sure about Z31s, but I imagine it would take a lot of money to do it right. Try twinturbo.net instead of here for better answers.
Going single on one of these motors is NOT going to happen unless you are filthy rich and just don't care what the custom fabrication costs.

Re: OT: 300zx rebuild (Malachi)
It may be easier than you think. Buddy of mine has an 87 U11 Maxima with the VG30E, he rebuilt the engine, installed the Z31 intake manifold and t/b and modded the Z31 turbo stuff to fit. Runs damn good. Threw in a set of Schneider regrinds for good measure and went 12.89 on 10psi and a little funny stuff(slicks btw).

Re: OT: 300zx rebuild (degradated)
i knew a person who has a VG30ET and is going single, T-66 route. but having the dual cammed motor is going to give you some extra power. btw there are about 3 VG30DETT converted to a single turbo's that i know of, one is the JUN 1200hp Z32, and two i saw somewhere on the internet. but if you dont want to go single, go for HKS GT2835 or GT3037 kit. walser runs the 2835 twins in his street supra (high 9's might i add).
