Default Opions/Comments on hand experience with an Ebay Super T70

I just need some input on THIS super T70. I know on Ebay there's alot but THIS SPECIFIC turbo.

1. when does it spool and hit full boost. your set up would be nice.
2. how long did it last?
3. how much?
4. driving experience with it?
5. max PSI and WHP/WTQ or YOUR psi and tq on your set-up
6. would you recommend it on a budget set-up.
7. is it too much for a stock motor?

did i my search only found on other topic like this but people just flamed. open to IDEAS and opinions.

We dont get many cars with eBay turbochargers but we got one a couple months ago. It did good, imo, and it was still running with no issues last month

Car: S14 240SX

Engine: RB25DET, Stock longblock, stock head, stock camshafts

Mods: Modified eBay exhaust manifold, 3" DC downpipe, eBay intercooler, unknown clutch, DC intercooler piping, DC intake, Master Power T70 turbocharger (?) (60mm), Precision 880cc fuel injectors, Walbro 255 hp fuel pump, Aeromotive fpr, eBay intake manifold, eBay throttle body, TiAL 44mm wastegate (5lb spring), Greddy Profec-B Spec-II, AEM 3.5 bar map sensor, AEM ait sensor, AEM EMS

Tuning at 18lbs creeping roughly to 20lbs on 93 octane:

This car had a bad exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold flange

Hope this helps a little bit

they make decent power but don't last long mine lasted 430miles then the bearings wore out and shoved the fins in to the housing. 410hp and 300 torque at 18

perfect insight thanks. if you remember, what was the set-up and how was the boost lag?

my set-up with this turbo is a b16 with pistons and rods. 9.5.1 JE. pistons and everything else is stock.

i have one of those turbos on my stock bored b18c the boost starts aroung 5500 and full boost comes in about 6500 but it is a pretty laggy turbo just make sure you put a oil restrictor in the oil feed line it will make the tubo last alittle longer we just made 500hp and 320 at 26psi reving to 8500 rpm hope that helps you make a decision..... my race car only made 515hp and 308 tq at 20 psi with a t3/t67h.o. turbo just give you an idea

damn... thats a mother of a lag. you can take a nap then wake up for boost. anyways, but yeah. i got the oil feed flange with a dash 4 and the oil restrictor is at a minimum. well.... i bought the turbo already just looking for personal experience to know ahead, and what to expect from this turbo.

hyn_boi808, im guessing its a stock bore but not stock sleeves?

bump for more opinions.

I ran this turbo for 8 months without an issue. I had on a stock b16, and then a built b16. I made 290WHP at 10lbs. I have full boost by 5500. I was exceptionally hard on this turbo. For many months i did not have a working blow off valve, and i never let it cool down after beating on it. I didnt give a **** since i paid 250$. I was very happy with it for the money and i feel i got plenty of use out of it I beat a fair amount of cars with that cheapo. After 8months i was on the dyno and was about to crank the boost up, in the middle of a pull boost fell to 0. After searching we found the main compressor nut came off and was sitting on the ground. The Wheel started hitting the housing. My buddy had the same thing on his b18b for 2 years, he beat my turbonetics kit, so that was when i wanted to give it a shot. Def use a oil restrictor. I didnt think it was terrribly laggy but that just depends on who you talk to. We also have on a sr20 right now, and its been running for quite some time. I do not see a problem with this turbo. 250 bucks to get you going the worst that happens is you have to bolt a new turbo down. I think it is a decent option to get boosted till you can afford the turbo you really want.

only reason it went on a new motor, was it was ran low on oil, which probably didnt help the turbo life either.

thanks for the insight. im planning to boost about 10 psi with the turbo with my b16. when u guys talk about oil restrictor u mean the male fitting on the feed line right? the make fitting opening at a minimum right? if u still had the motor, how much more will u boost the b16? and where did u buy it for 250? thats a deal.

the idea of putting this on a stock sleeved B16 at 10lbs is just retarded.

Its going to take more boost to make this trubo efficent.

ill update everyone once i put it in. and update when i get it on the dyno.

quick question. what would u prefer. high psi on a small snail or low psi on a big one. making the same whp.
