opinions needed on my d16y8 turbo
just bought a turbo for my car.i really don't know much about turbos. what all do i need to complete my setup. i have a turbonetics t3/t4 turbo with a delta gate mark2,a greddy type s bov, vortech fmu i think its 12:1.and what i think is a rev hard mani with a alright size front mount. plan on getting a p28 ecu and hondata s200 system. what am i missing and what size piping would be best for my setup without boost spiking. and what can my max boost be with stock internal.
thanks
thanks

your going to need a downpipe, exhuast, piping for intercooler, oil feed and return lines, boost gauge, boost controller,
that's all i can think of right now
dont run more then 8-9psi on a stock motor, to be on the safe side
there is alot more info on any subject if you search.

2.5 inch downpipe would be fine,
you dont need check valve's untill you go over the limit of the stock map sensor, which is ~10.65psi. you dont want to do this on a stock engine anyway.

alot of people have told me to just go with the 3" dp but i dont want it to be nasty loud. im running 2.25 custom piping with the apexi n1 exhaust as of now.

ive also heard the stock map sensor picks up boost at 1 psi. so since my car is a n/a car it will throw the check engine light

I've just intalled a boosted mini-me y7/78 in an eg using a p28. Using a t25 w/ fmic, basic fmu 12:1, hsk ssq bov, and missing link. It's pretty quick at 6 psi. And also using 2" pipings from turbo to intercooler and intercooler to throttle body. You should be fine at 6-8 psi. And also get a a/f gauge from autometer. This is for the time being. Just something to see if your rich or not. Remember when in boost it should be at green not red.

My friend using a 2.5 downpipe to a 2.5 exhaust. It spools up nicely and sound really mellow. I think he's sastify with a 2.5 downpipe. I cant remeber where full boost was at but damn once 4000 rpm hits you feel the sudden torque and takes off from there. Here's a pic of my friends hatch. Its a homemade setup w/ a budget. Mines is the blue one. Cant really see

็How about fuel pump on the FMU setup.
Seem like your guys use stock fuel pump on 6-8 psi.......is that working fine?

Uberdata owns you http://www.ecimulti.org/uberdata It's cheaper and better than an FMU, don't settle.
