Default Opinion suggestion preferences on Zdyne standalone

I am currently trying to decide what stand alone to get for my 88 CRX with LS B18B1 engine running obd0, I was planning on going with zdyne because from what I have read it seems easy to install and (no burning chips etc) and the price is not too bad. But I have called around to a few local Speed shops (in Tampa and Orlando) and the tuners I spoke to never heard of zdyne.

any comments, suggestions, preferences are highly appreciated, and if you know of any good tuners in the Central Florida area (Tampa, Lakeland, Orlando) that have worked with Zdyne that would be a tremendous help!

zdyne is an EXCELLENT system, just a bit pricey for the average joe. if you can afford it, go for it.

For an LS it shoulod be ok since it only has fuel and timing tables up to 7000rpm but for VTEC IMO sucks for those same reasons, we had an All Motor car here on the dyno and he had Zdyne and it has no tables about 7000rpm.

Not sure if this is what you are talking about, but this is from zdyne's website:

"Revs over 9300 rpm on the stock ECU cause the charge/spark igniter signal to "flip". This will either fire the spark to the wrong cylinder or cause extreme advance or retard. This is yet another reason to avoid simply removing the rev limit.
Attention Built Motor Users: ZDYNE can reconfigure your stock ECU to function correctly all the way to 12,200 RPM! "
