Ok, finished turbo install.. Spark Plugs?
Alright.. finally got everything on, but before I start her up,
I remembered that I needed colder plugs...
Do I HAVE to get colder plugs right off the bat? Can I run around
on the stock platinums for awhile.. as long as I don't boost much?
Also, some instructions say to retard the timing 1-2 degrees.. is this
necessary?

you can re-gap your current plugs...I forgot the exact gap size....anyone?

you should be fine as long as you don't turn up the boost and boost often.. but i would get some if you can.
i've been running my stock plugs for a while but i just bought some NGKs that are 2 steps colder and gapped to .035
I hear that how cold you go is dependant on how much boost you're going to run but 2 steps is what most people use (and of course you can experiment)
gapping is dependant on different variables as well... if you have an ignition system, or if you're retarding your timing already. general rule, the larger the gap, the more you're opening up yourself for detonation because the spark has to jump a larger distance.
of course, i'm not 100% sure of these things, but it's what's coming to mind right now
