OK to boost if car will be sitting unused for a while?
Hey guys,
Next summer I'd like to go turbo with the Greddy Kit, Intercooler, hondata s200b, etc.. boosting 6-8 psi, most of the time closer to 6. But, I'm currently in college, away from my car (very little parking in Philly for students and the price is outrageous) for 7-8 months out of the year. Would it be all right to boost and have the car not be run much, maybe only once or twice a week while I'm here at school? Am I just looking at problems down the road by doing this and should spend my money elsewhere?
Oh, I'd be boosting a 2k LS w/35k miles, if that has any bearing on your suggestions.
Thanks in advance,
Brian

I assume there won't be any problem if the car is only driven once a week or so for 7 months (but probably more often than that). Just wanted to make sure. Any thoughts?

I don't see where there woudl eb any problems with it not be drivin for that amount fot ime...however i would make sure that someone would start the car and let it run for a little every week or so. I leave mine sit every now and then but i usually start it up and let it run for atleast 5 mins 3 times a week when i dont drive it for a week or longer because i worry like that .
