non synthetic, non detergent oil is what I always use for the first 100 or so miles. no synthetic til 1000 mile mark at the earliest

ROd an new engine = break in a new engine ???

what to use to ASSEMBLE the motor? assembly lube, any auto parts store should have it. and oil for initial startup? just conventional motor oil, its only gonna be in there for like 10-15 mins anyway

Go rod your engine hard. Give it a good rodding.

The guy is French canadien. 'Rhoder' is the french verb used for breaking in an engine.
