Default Oil to use for Rebuild (already searched!!)

Okay, from reading from past threads, i have found mixed reviews about this topic, anything from "use a non-detergent oil till at least 500 miles.." to the "synthetic is good vs bad topic".

a few things i would like to get cleared up.

1) what type of motor oil should i use for a rebuilt engine that has just had a turbo installed?(the brand to use, nondetergent or detergent, weight, ect.)

2)should i do synthetic or not??(also, which brand and weight once again)

thanks!
