Oil Return Line on Moroso Steel Pan Fitment Issues
Ok...Im trying to get everything together, and now I am having a problem with
my oil return line from the turbo to the oil pan. I bought the steel Moroso drag
pan thinking it would be nice to have due to the return bung already on it.
Problem is that with a turbo set up where the compressor is on the driver side, the
return line is way off! Has anyone experienced this problem? If so, what did you
do to fix the problem. Any advice/help would be appreciated!!!

You should be fine, but it looks like the oil has to go up right at the pan. Turn that fitting so it doesn't, and shorten the line some. Also, you could turn the fitting at the turbo towards the fitting on your pan, and take a turn out there.

Well, thats the problem. The fitting isnt on the return bolt out of the pan! (Look closely) I cant get it on there...and if i did the hose is bending really sharp and im afraid thats going to bind it up too much

Yeah, thats what im going to try tomorrow. Im curious as to how hard it will be to remove the hose from the fittings though. They were a PITA to put them in the fittings to begin with!

real easy. unscrew them and pull out. when i put mine together, i used a lot of WD40 and it made it super easy to put back together after i had to cut it down

off topic, but a question about your moroso pan. Does yours have a problem with leaking from the drain bolt? Using a new crush washer doesnt work for me. I am thinking that maybe I shouldnt use one, since there are not very many threads on the bolt itself. Sorry for the OT

Re: (kameleon23)
to make things easier, why don't you just put a bolt on that hole and drill a hole thats better of a return. just have a nut tig wherever you drill the hole and you should be set.

Re: (BoostedEG6)
the straight fitting is too long, places the line really low and the bend will be too sharp. I ordered some 90 degree fittings to see if that will work, but that f-ing pan is a waste.

Re: (drintegra)
yeah that’s why I am still running a stock pan..... I don’t think he has a straight fitting at the turbo... it looks to be a 45* brass fitting but I could be wrong. There is a couple of ways that you could do it but only if you have somewhere near you that sells the AN fitting..... I was glad that a place sold Earls fittings right around the corner from a friends shop that I built mine at
